The big scenes of Act One:
- Shura’s coronation as Queen
- The tension between Shura & Kitor Wilstem beginning to become unbearable. Wilstem is one of Shura’s advisors, who has had a great distaste for her position as queen.
- Wilstem conducts a violent coup, forcing Shura to flee into exile.
- A few weeks passes and we see Shura roaming dark streets at night.
- One of Shura’s past advisors, cloaked, arrives in a spot with her as they discuss actions on a return.
- As they are speaking the camera shows a flyer pinned onto a wall saying: “WANTED DEAD. SHURA MALRA, FORMER QUEEN. 1,000,000 STRAVLEKS” (the currency used in the story)
- Suddenly shots ring out, and the two are sent running in two directions. It is revealed to be a bounty hunter as he attempts to chase Shura.
- Shura eventually loses the bounty hunter, and continues into a smaller darker alleyway.
- Suddenly, a dark figure approaches Shura from behind her, and she is about to scream until a hand is placed upon hers.
- A young man her age, Malco Volkot, (the side character protagonist, if you will) tells her to “Be calm, I’m here to help you.”
