    Careers Exploration Blog

    One thing I notice is that Commercial Art and Graphic Design has the biggest percentage of major shares, with 25%. That doesn’t surprise me, given that Graphic Design is the most saught after art major, and the major most likely to get a job in graphic design after school. Fine Arts is the next biggest, which my major is connected to, is 23%. This is also not surprising, due to a vast majority of art majors/minors being under the “Fine Arts” umbrella.     The Swerve details and thoughts

    A few details that caught my interest inside of chapter one, are about how hierarchies were in the time of the story (which is the 1400s). For example, on page 15, “What mattered was what you belonged to or even whom you belonged to.” was a sentence that caught my interest because of how different society was 500 years ago compared to today. In the past, depending on your status or even what you looked like, you could be doomed into slavery, or to be impoverished your entire life.     Involvment Fair

    During the involvement fair, I walked around the tables and I talked with many people, at many tables. I joined some clubs! I joined the Art Club, the Ski Club, the Creative Writing Club, and the UNE Players. I saw my roommates and I eventually broke away from them and kept walking around. I got some stickers and items, and I won a small fan! Later, I took a selfie as proof that I was there.
